Rula Homes has acquired a 5.76-acre development site in the desirable County of West Yorkshire. Located, approximately 12 miles south of Leeds and 24 miles north of Sheffield.
Rula are developer contractor for the 77 new affordable homes of mixed tenure, working in partnership with Wakefield and District Housing. Rula Homes provided a full turnkey solution by acquiring the site, securing planning for 77 dwellings, delivering and selling the site on to WDH.
The development features high-quality affordable homes across a selection of modern designed two, three and four-bedroom house types. The houses are timber frame construction that is classed as a modern method of construction. The contemporary design has been visually enhanced with a variety of architectural features to all elevations.
Following the exchange of contracts, work on the development is currently under construction and is due to complete in September 2023. 100% of phase 2 will be affordable housing.
Phase 2 Heathlands
Heathlands forms part of the City Fields (Wakefield East) development site, a large-scale development, which is as whole comprises over 2,500 dwellings and commercial uses and extends to approx. 375 acres (152 ha).
Heathlands is located to the south of the overall City Fields scheme.
